MyLife (The Life of Jimmy Bui)

The purpose of me using blogger is so that I can record my interesting escapades that I encounter through my life. I've had interesting trips, met interesting people, done interesting things, and such but no place to record them! I'll slowly edit my profile online so that perhaps I can continue to meet interesting people more down the line. I could've done a journal but then I wouldn't be able to share them.

Oh How I Miss You, 30" Widescreen TV

For the firt time, I'm anxious to go home to spend time...with my TV.

So I bought myself a 30" widescreen, slim-fit LCD screen. Samsung, with a black color scheme. This baby cost me almost $900 which will be paid off in 18 month installments of $50.00 per month, no interest from Sears.

After bringing it home and plugging all the cables into it on Monday, I was privilaged to something cool...HDTV.

I never knew what HDTV was until I got my TV. Being a person with no cable, HDTV can only be appreciated by those that only have an antenna. Apparently, HDTV is a clearer version of regular TV, but comes through the radio waves. My nights of watching 3 blurry channels has been replaced with 3, super sharp channels, in widescreen!

I also learned that some shows, like Jay Leno and Conan, come in as widescreen over HDTV. News shows and 30 minute shows came in at 4:3, but even that was still enhanced by the TV.

The next morning I went to work and all I did was think of my TV. 30" of pure ecstasy. I was thinking about my TV so much, I went online to find pictures of it.

So I finally reach home, and course the first thing I turn on, before the lights, was the TV. I sat there, taking the whole thing in, while I watch Family Guy in widescreen. Family guy in widescreen by the way, is a lot better than 4:3.

Unsatisfied, I left for work the next morning and also, thinking of my TV at work. One of things I wondered was...if I were to watch porn...would widescreen make the guy's ding dong longer? Hmmmm, quite a question.

I come home, ready to spend a whole night with my TV, only to be interrupted by Jose telling me that I have to go to GK.

I wanted to stay home, and would have had Jose not said he was stopping by. Damn him and his stopping by, now I can't stay home with my TV!
